Making Visible The Invisible
Assignment for Digital Tools (Art 104)Portland State University, Spring 2019 - Spring 2020
To begin this assignment, the class writes a collective list of 100 things that are invisible, and each term the list changes. Some invisible things we identified include window panes, money, invisible disabilities, wind, .
After we write the list, the words are compiled into a single document (see example below). Students are then asked to observe something invisble that they would like to make more visible, and design a risograph-printed publication on the topic. Students print 10 copies of their zines using the A+D Risograph machine and distribute them around PSU’s campus.
